Mattie attended the University of Georgia earning her BBA in Economics. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Mercer University School of Law. While attending Mercer Law, she was awarded a merit scholarship and earned a spot on the Dean’s List in Fall 2023 and Spring 2025. She is also a proud member of the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society, which recognizes excellence in legal scholarship. During her time at Mercer Law, Mattie also served as a peer mentor, supporting first-year and second-year law students who were facing academic struggles.

In addition to her academic accomplishments, Mattie brings a unique perspective to her legal practice, shaped by her experience as a small business owner. Prior to transitioning to a career in the law, she successfully ran her own baking business until 2022. Her background in running a business has given her the ability to approach challenges with resilience, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.

Growing up in a family with a rich legal tradition, Mattie was deeply influenced by her father, a respected attorney, and was inspired to follow in his footsteps. She carries forward the values of professionalism, integrity, and dedication that he instilled in her, while adding her own thoughtful and client-centered approach to legal practice.
